Their occupations include farming, livestock rearing, fragrance distilling and a comparative-ly new one: honey bee breeding.The four main villages to visit are VVadi Bani Habih, Sail], Al Ayn and Al Shuraijah. Another important iighl is the ancient hamlets ofOhan Al Bisateen.





There is a park constructed for visitors at Wacii Barn Habih. From this point yotl can see ancient stone hamlets, which are now aban­doned settlements. There are specially con­structed steps, which allow you to walk to the wadis and farms and enjoy the greenery as well.The gardens of Saiq arc another breathtaking .sight. Scattered over the higher plains of the mountain, arc the fruit orchards, flowers and shrubs. Pomegranates, apricots, peaches, plums, figs, cherries, wild olives, almonds and walnuts grow in abundance. The Desert Hose. unique to this region, has a heady aroma, (t is a sweetly scented (lower used in the preparation of rose water.
